A get together dinner party was celebrated in Hotel Surbhi on 24^th January 2020 in view of achieving a record breaking 2878 moves by Operations Batch-2 team of Mundra International Container Terminal MICT DP World Mundra Port during the arrival / berthing of CAP SAN JUAN vessel on 11^th January 2020.

This was breaking the earlier records of 2429 moves and 2750 moves with a healthy competition within the shifts.

The party was hosted and sponsored by the operations superintendent Mr, Anand Mohan paying the bills from his own pocket.

This is truly an incomparable and great act of benevolence and stands high in the minds of every MICT employee, even higher than the achievement. Words are too less for any appreciation.

Batch-2 operations activities were handled by Mr. Anand Mohan in the shift with the guidance of Captain Sachin Garg - General Manager Operations.

The operations batch-2 team was supported on a war footing by a team of electrical and mechanical engineers of batch-2 headed by Mr. Stephen Anthony, under the leadership of Mr. Baji Vadukkoottu General Manager Engineering.

Both the operations and engineering teams demonstrated a very high level of co-ordination in this achievement.

The dedication and devotion is really appreciable of all the crane operators who operate equipments like viz. RTG – rubber tyre gantry crane, QC – Quay Crane, RST – Reachstackers / Kalmar etc., and have shown their unmatched skill in loading and unloading of containers from the Ship or Vessel.

It goes without saying that in a holistic view, there is a contribution of each employee of MICT DP World Mundra Port, working under the guidance of their respective HOD’s, and finally the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the CEO.

The credit also goes to all departments including the company’s administration headed by Mr. Shivbhadra Sinh Jadeja providing the resources.

No achievement can be celebrated, unless all activities are carried out with Safety. The watchful eye of safety officer of the shift Mr. Ashish Patel, all his colleagues and his seniors deserve a great credit in ensuring safety in the terminal.

The buffet dinner party in Hotel Surbhi, began after congratulatory, motivational and inspirational speech given by seniors.

Hotel Surbhi is very near to MICT Township, about 4 kms. approximately.
